Kevin S. Lazar joined Bratton Hill, LLC in February 2008. He practices primarily in the areas of civil litigation, water law, and real estate law. Before joining Bratton Hill, LLC, Kevin served as law clerk to the Honorable John L. Wheeler of the Eighteenth Judicial District, Arapahoe County District Court. As a law clerk, Kevin managed the civil docket and gained valuable litigation experience by assisting the Court with both civil and criminal jury trials and authoring and reviewing several substantive orders.

In addition to his law practice with Bratton Hill, Kevin volunteers his time and provides pro bono legal advice to the non-profit organization Office for Resource Efficiency (ORE). Kevin also participates in the Junior Achievement program, where he teaches local Fourth grade students about the local region, resources, and economy.

Kevin graduated from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law in May 2006. He received the highest grade in the course "Environmental Ethics and Justice" for his term paper and presentation on "The Basic Human Right to Water." Prior to law school, Kevin attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and an emphasis in marketing and management.

While in law school, Kevin was the Business Editor and a staff member for the University of Denver Water Law Review. He also was active in the Environmental Law Clinic and the Natural Resources and Environmental Law Society. In his capacity as a law clerk and intern for environmental and water law firms on the Front Range, Kevin has performed extensive legal research related to water rights, well permits, the Clean Water Act, RCRA, and CERCLA.

When he is not working, Kevin enjoys the outdoors and is an avid hiker, skier, and mountain biker. Kevin, having been raised in Chicago, is also a die-hard Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.
